Epcot Flower & Garden Festival Insider Secret!

Epcot Flower and Garden Festival: Butterfly garden. Now that the Flower and Garden Festival is in full swing at Walt Disney World's Epcot theme park, it's time to review my top tip for getting the most out of the day at the park!

Yes, my favorite Disney vacation tip is EXTRA special for special events like the Flower and Garden Festival:

Arrive at the theme park 15 minutes before official opening time!

So why is that important?

By arriving early, you'll be one of the first people in the park. That means shorter waiting time at the most popular attractions and more time to enjoy the park. You'll be able to see most of the attractions in Future World within two hours, leaving the rest of the day to enjoy the Flower and Garden Festival and regular attractions in the World Showcase.

Get a head start on planning your day by reviewing the Epcot maps on Pages 25-31 in Mouse Map. (Order now, and save $2 off the downloadable PDF!)

Overview: Epcot Flower and Garden Festival 2009

Flower and Garden Festival 2009.It's just around the corner -- the 16th annual Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival. Beginning on March 18 and continuing to May 31, this year's festival will feature what we all know and love about the annual event and few new surprises.

New this year are an elaborate "Cinderellabration" topiary and an environmentally friendly Green Garden. And as we've come to expect. there will be dozens of exhibits and activities geared toward gardening and outdoor fun. Flower Power concerts return each weekend at America Gardens Theatre in World Showcase.

Every spring, the raised beds at the entrance to Epcot in the shadow of Spaceship Earth are like a playground for the Disney gardeners! This year, Cinderella and Prince Charming, Snow White and the seven dwarfs, Sleeping Beauty and Prince Phillip, and Belle and Beast from "Beauty and the Beast" debut in all their "blooming finery" as the grand front-entrance topiary during the 75-day festival. The gardeners create a total of 70 additional topiaries throughout the park. Read more
