Mission Space Adds Milder Version
Choose Orange or Green
Mission: Space is an interactive, high-thrills adventure in Future World at Epcot. For guests who prefer a little less thrilling adventure, a new "Green" version of Mission: Space has debuted.
Mission: Space simulates the launch, approach and landing of a futuristic spacecraft on Mars. To create the effects of blast-off and weighlessness, the attraction vehicles are built on a system of centrifuges and programmable simulators. While many guests don't even realize they are spinning, other guests find the simulator too stimulating.
In May 2006, Mission: Space added another option for the attraction will be even more accessible now that your Clients will have two options to choose from – the original thrill attraction and a new version for those who prefer a milder ride experience. The new experience, which is created by turning off the spinning centrifuge, may be more suitable for guest who are prone to motion sickness or who have other conditions that might prevent them from riding the attraction.
Both versions of the ride will offer an exciting astronaut training experience through a dramatic story that invites your Clients to explore a new world.
